Hi All!!

Is everyone getting excited for our up and coming trip to Coonabarabran? Don't forget it is not too late to join. Although the Warrumbungle motor in is booked out there is plenty of accommodation still available just a short drive in town. We have agenda which I hope I have attached properly to this message. We are still just confirming final plan around lunches and dinners.
I will be hoping to post a new registration option for a few of the options just to get final numbers for a few events so please keep an eye out for these. mainly dinners and tours.
We will also open up a chat group for those attending. A great way to keep up to date with every ones plans for the weekend. Please remember this is a members only event. Partners very welcome!

Donna the astronomer
Come Stargazing live with our entertaining night sky guide – Donna the Astronomer at the Milroy Observatory located in Coonabarabran and let her take you on a journey and introduce you to the Stars! A great introduction and starting point for the weekend for beginners to our most experienced
See planets, clusters and nebulae,
Learn about the constellations,
Hear stories, and
Look through the telescope and be amazed!
Warm your hands and stomach during chilly night the tour with some tasty soup of the day and bread for an extra $10. Please register so we can book this in for the night

tour of Siding springs observatory
Go inside the biggest telescope, walk to the highest point of the mountainside, learn about telescopes and how they work, what amazing things Australian Astronomers have been up to.. and what to look out for in the night sky.
(if you would like lunch at the observatory, before the tour please register so we can book it in with the café to ensure there are enough meals. This will be a small out of pocket amount you can pay on the day)

Talk with Rob McNaught
Join us for a fascinating lecture with Rob Mcnaught comet genius at the warrumbungle prior to our tour of the observatory.

BBQs at the Warrumbungle motor in prior to observing on the Friday and Saturday. Join up for a big cook up before we start the night and get to know all our fellow members. Then warm up for the evening with some mulled wine and cheeses while observe the night away
