We don’t normally advertise or sponsor non-NSAS events but the following new Australian film coming out next week will be of interest to some members.
It’s called the Living Universe and set for release on August 9th.
The film is a spectacular interstellar adventure searching for life on another planet. Narrated by Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, the film follows the journey of a starship to an exoplanet; set in the future and piloted by artificial intelligence voiced by astrophysicist Professor Tamara Davis. The speculative voyage is presented alongside interviews with the world’s top scientific visionaries, drawing from their expertise to offer insights into our collective future exploring deep space. We ask them: How do we get there? What will we find? And what will it mean for humanity if there is proof we are not alone?
The film has the most stunning footage of space and some of the most amazing CGI animation you will ever see on a big screen. We made the film with the intention to inspire a whole new generation to look to the stars and marvel and what they might hold. I wanted to get in contact to invite you and your members to attend one of our upcoming limited season screenings.

We have an amazing Q&A event with Dr Karl Kruszelnicki on the 24th at the Orpheum!
We’d love for as many people passionate about space and physics as possible to hear about the film so it would be amazing if you were able to forward the info about the film onto your members so they know what we’re all about! Any exposure is greatly appreciated as we know that you guys are the people on the ground who are the most passionate about space.
If you want any more information or have any questions please send them through or feel free to give me a call. We also have a whole bunch of amazing digital and social assets, if you were interested in sharing any of those on your social media.
