NSAS AGM Results

21 10 2010

For those of you not there, NSAS held the AGM last Tuesday, with about 25 members in attendance.  The President reported on the progress of the Society, which now has 72 members, and a healthy financial balance.  The result of the election for the 2010-2011 Committee are:

President – Bob Fuller (re-elected), Vice-president – Peter Nosworthy, Secretary – Anna Koenemann (re-elected), Treasurer – Gordon Ogborne (re-elected), Committee without portfolio – Peter Korber, Bob Roeth, and Roy Jordan.  Appointed positions will be notified on the website.

The new Committee was welcomed, and there was a good discussion about activities and directions for the coming year.  All the elected officers would like to welcome you to future meetings and interest groups.

Don’t forget that the Membership renewals are now due, and must be paid by the end of December, otherwise your membership will be cancelled.  Please ensure that you fill out the accompanying survey on the Society and return it with your renewal (if you didn’t receive your Membership renewal paperwork by mail, please contact a Committee member). You can pay at the Nov GM, at the Theory Group or NAG, or through the mail to the Secretary.

For future reference, it’s been decided that due to the total lunar eclipse the night of the Christmas Party (Dec 21st), the Society will have a sausage sizzle and observing session at St. Ignatius in place of the traditional “bring your plate” Christmas event.
